Scope Center
Norfolk Scope is a 12,600-seat multipurpose Center at the northern perimeter of downtown Norfolk, Virginia, designed by Italian architect/engineer Pier Luigi Nervi in conjunction with the now defunct local firm of Williams and Tazewell. Construction on Scope on Brambleton Avenue began in June 1968 and was completed in 1971 at a cost of $35 million USD. Federal funds covered $23 million of the cost.

Parking is located beneath the facility, with enough space for 640 vehicles. For a time, the dome was the largest of its kind in the world, but has since been bested by other arenas. A bear once escaped from the Ringling Bros. Circus and ran through wet paint across the floor, the prints could be seen for years until the floors were repainted.

The Scope.CenterNorfolk.com is a privately held company that specializes in the sale of tickets in the secondary market. We are not affiliated with any official supplier or box office. To purchase tickets to any Scope in Norfolk events simply call our operators at anytime or click on the event you wish to attend.
